My Walk

So today when I went on my walk, it was pretty cold. The lake was frozen and it was very icy. Anyways, most of the pictures I took were of trees covered in snow in my neighborhood or of the frozen lake. I took some pictures of ducks and geese walking on the lake as well. I only took a couple pictures of the houses on my walk. As I was walking with my camera in hand, I started to think about what's going to happen after this year. This is what every senior has been thinking about. I was thinking what college am I going to and what will it be like when I graduate? I took a picture of my house and was a little sad. I might not live with my family after I graduate. Everything will change. I kept walking and I decided to go to the lake. The ice was thick enough for me to stand on it. It was awesome! I was just amazed by the beauty of the lake. I'm okay with how my life is right now with friends and family. I am a little stressed about my future but I know that everything will be okay because God has given me everything I need to comfort me.

The Positivity Project!

So Terrika and I have decided that we were going to do this positivity project on our parents. Our parents go through a lot to help us live our everyday lives and we thought that out of all the people that we could think of that they deserve it the most. We plan to carry out our project from today to Tuesday, 11/9. To spread a positive message, we intend to ask them if they need our help constantly throughout the day because our parents go through a lot of stress and a little help from us could help them a lot. We also do not want to make them worry so we're going to try and stay out of trouble, do our homework, etc. The tools we'll need are the following: smiles, happiness, and a good attitude. We think that this project will help our parents because they could use some help sometimes and knowing that their children love them and want to help them will give them not only happiness in our lives but in theirs as well.

Beowulf In-Class Writing

I think God helps him win because God hates all evil. Beowulf gives all he is to serve the Lord, fending off evil. I feel what determines what happens to us is a mix of God and ourselves. God has made a plan for our lives but we must choose to serve it completely. Like in sports, to win you must give your 100% effort. You cannot do much more than that. Let God take care of the rest. This applies to all of life. God will always be there to help you. You cannot just sit there, do nothing, and expect God to just give you everything though. You must try your hardest whether it be in your work or in school. If you're having trouble getting money to pay your bills but you're trying your best, God will help you. If you're struggling in school but you're giving all you can to get good grades, God will help you. God rewards hard work. He does not reward laziness. We are saved and helped because of our hard work and God. We glorify Him through hard work.

I Am ESFJ

ESFJ means that I extraverted, sensing, feeling, and judging. I am 33% "E", 1% "S", 50% "F", and 67% "J". I am a provider. I am sociable and friendly. I give my time to make sure others are okay. Apparently it says I am good at speaking publicly but I don't think I am very good at giving speeches in front of people. I am extremely sympathetic to others feelings and highly sensitive of what others think of me. I enjoy being in charge. Also it says I am very open with my emotions but I hold them in usually when I am upset. I do not like conflict which I completely agree with. I am crushed by personal criticism but the happiest when given appreciation. Career choices for me that go well with my personality type would be the following: management, public administration, fashion merchandising, nursing, health care administration, radiologic technician, physician, education, and social work. I really looked forward to taking this test and I felt like it helped me discover some new qualities about myself.

The Puddle Effect of Pride (First 2 Paragraphs)

All men in the world have “…sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23). The Bible tells the people of earth that they are morally corrupt and God is superior to them. Moral corruption, otherwise known as sin, is any reprehensible or regrettable action, behavior, lapse, etc.; great fault or offense. There must be a reason why people commit terrible acts and deeds. Pride leads to these acts and deeds. Pride is defined as a high or inordinate opinion of one's own dignity, importance, merit, or superiority, whether as cherished in the mind or as displayed in bearing, conduct, etc. People, at one point in their life, think they are better than someone else whether it be looks, athletic ability, or smarts. It is a part of their sinful and corrupt behavior.

People consider many sins to be the one that leads to all other immoral acts. Murder and pillaging are intense crimes but what leads people to doing them. There must be a root to all sin that guides to others. Maybe it is rebelling against God, defying the Great Almighty. It could also be something smaller as disobeying parents. Pride seems to only have people think they are superior to their fellow man. Could pride, in fact, lead to all other sins?
